Hey y’all!

So Since it is New Year’s Eve, we’ve decided to start the New year off with some New Year’s Eve cupcakes! After reading about these on  The Confessions of a Cookbook Queen Blog, we were really excited to take a crack at it ourselves. This is a really simple idea that comes out looking great, and is perfect for a New Year’s Eve Party! Enjoy!

For the cupcake we decided to use just a simple white cake recipe. This recipe’s really easy and turns out great every time.

After baking them till they were spongy on top and our toothpick came out clean, we let them cool for about 20 minutes while we prepared the toppings.

We then iced our cupcakes with a blue buttercream frosting and added some rainbow non-pereils to the top to make them fun and cute!

For the “streamers” we used sliced up airheads. We cut them using a pizza cutter then twirled them with our hands, but you can twirl them around a pencil or skewer as well.

Add just a few to the top, and there you go! You have some super easy and totally adorable New Year’s Eve cupcakes!

Thanks for reading!
