Cinnamon Swirl Cupcakes

Hey y’all!

So after our great success with those mini cinnamon rolls, we decided that we would try our hand at a cinnamon swirl cupcake recipe from Better Homes and Gardens. Once again, another simple recipe that didn’t take too long. This was a layered cake, so it was easy to make, but ends up looking great.

This recipe is really straightforward – no special tricks, nothing too difficult. We decided against using pecans, and because of time restraints, we did not make the icing this time around, but it was just like any other buttercream frosting, nothing too fancy.

So like mentioned before, this is a layered cake, so we made the two “batters” (one batter and one dry mixture) in two separate bowls, then, using an ice cream scoop, plopped them right on top of each other in the baking tins.

Sprinkle the rest of your brown sugar mixture over the batter, and that’s it! Bake ’em and there ya’ go! A super yummy simple treat great for any event.

After baking for about 20 minutes…
